Making Plans for Future Travel
Over the past few weeks my husband and I have started to look ahead and make some plans for travel in the next year. Even while the coronavirus surges in some parts of the country and the EU may bar U.S. citizens from entering its borders in the coming week, we've decided to broaden our horizons literally and figuratively. While we aren't contemplating any major international travel or cruises just yet, we're certainly open to looking at some of the great travel deals out there right now and helping the travel industry bounce back.

Our recent trip to the wine country around Walla Walla, Washington, saw us pack a lot into just three days. We scheduled visits to old favorites, enjoyed some special tastings and events at wineries where we are club members, and also made a point of trying out some new places. We were blessed with perfect fall weather: sunny and crisp, with the fields and vineyards showing their fall colors.
New Finds in Walla Walla
Barring the apocalypse, if it's the first weekend in November, you can be sure my husband and I will be in Walla Walla for the southeast Washington wine region's Fall Release festivities. This year we arrived early Thursday afternoon to get in some tasting before the crowds arrived on Friday, and we were greeted with rather chilly but sunny, hazy weather following our drive up the Columbia Gorge from Portland.
