The End of Summer Is Near
September is upon us, and I cannot believe how fast the time went. It feels like just yesterday I was walking around Philadelphia with hot chocolate in my snow suit snapping photos of the pretty houses in Society Hill.

Summer’s Bounty
A few weeks ago I wrote about the gifts my garden gives me, both tangible and spiritual, but it does have its limitations. I don't have the space (nor the time nor energy, either!) to grow everything I'd like, but thankfully I don't have to go far from home to enjoy all kinds of locally grown fruits and veggies. Both the calendar and the weather (with highs reaching above 100 this past week) proclaim we're at the peak of the summer growing season, and the season's bounty is on full display at farm stands, growers markets and orchards all through our valley.

Excitement of Summer
Summer is on its way, and I am ready for it. With summer coming, it gives us something to look forward to, a change in this new life we have. We are going to be able to spend more time outside, go on walks and engage in summer fun, just maybe not to the extent we are used to. The weather is starting to get nice and the days are longer, allowing for more time outside. I’m hoping my family, friends and I are able to do some of our normal summer activities.
