With temperatures in the 30s, the Northwestern Wildcats took the field for their season opener Saturday night. There were no fans in the stands of Ryan Field and no tailgating outside, but Purple Nation was happy to have football back.

College Sports
Last week, my GT colleague Kim wrote about attending the New Era Pinstripe Bowl, featuring Syracuse (her Alma Mater) playing Kansas State. It was the first year for this particular Bowl, one of 35 total NCAA football bowl games.
